The Cougar Ridge Home Owners Association in West Olympia was faced with the difficult decision to install a security fence around its mailbox center. 

Unfortunatlely, the community had been experiencing frequent problems with vandalsim and theft of their mailboxes and decided the best course of action would be to fully enclose the area. While they wanted the fence to be durable, they also wanted it to match the character and quality of their community.

After contacting AJB, we mutually decided that the best course of action would be a 8-foot ornamental iron fence. The mechanical lock requires a code to enter, which all of the residents of the community have. One of the advantages of a code lock is that it can easiliy be changed, so unlike a keyed lock where you'd have to re-key and then supply new keys to everyone, the residents can just be given the new code.

Compared to a chain link fence, which could easily be cut through with wire cutters, this wrought iron fence would take quite of a bit of effort and noise to break through. Now the residents can rest assured that their important mail is safe from prying eyes (and crowbars!).
